That is 100% without a shadow of a doubt the real genuine Pearl!

That is Pearl herself trying to STAB STEVEN TO DEATH WITH A SWORD!

Look closely at how Pearl, in premeditation, in her own free will and independent thinking, decided she wanted to murder Steven on the spot with a blade.

Look at how deeply and emotionally insane Pearl has gone to drive herself into killing a child!

It is “most certainly not” an Artificially Intelligent Hologram Pearl that was robotically pre-programmed to fulfill a directive to joust with Steven, even resorting to drastic measures by endangering the child behind Pearl’s back!

Just like the actual assailant that resorted to drowning Steven and Connie was “most certainly not” an Artificially Intelligent Water Duplicate that was robotically pre-programmed to fulfill a directive to defend Lapis Lazuli from The Crystal Gems, even resorting to drastic measures by endangering the children behind Lapis Lazuli’s back!

And if Lapis Lazuli were to have “remote-controlled“ the AI Water Duplicates to fight the Crystal Gems and knew exactly how to counter all of their powers and skills while at the same time lifting the ocean to try and escape Earth, Lapis Lazuli should have completely pulverized Jasper by remote-controlling an army of AI water duplicates of the Quartz General the moment they were close to the ocean!

The whole reason Lapis Lazuli gets all confused when she is ”reminded” that ”she nearly drowned children” only for her to answer “She nearly drowned a lot of people” is because she was too busy trying to escape the Earth to notice what her AI Water Duplicates had resorted to in order to stop the Crystal Gems!

The purpose of Steven The Sword Fighter is to contrast between the true Gems and their artificial replicas, with the Gems being free thinking and choosing what to commit vs pre-programmed robotic entities that specifically focus on accomplishing a single goal.

To sum it all up, Lapis Lazuli did not ”try to drown children”, she did unleash a bunch of dangerous AI guards, unaware of the extreme measures those said AI guards would take behind her back.

Oh, by the way, not joking this time, unlike Lapis Lazuli, Pearl actually did nearly cause the direct murder of Steven in Three Gems and a Baby, by trying to remove Steven’s gem!

Which could have resulted in draining Steven’s life!
